All you need to know about the Cadillac Escalade iQ, 100 % electric
August 29 2023,
This past August 9th, Cadillac revealed a video stating that a fully electric trim of its most popular SUV –the Cadillac Escalade- would be arriving soon. This SUV will be named the Escalade iQ, and will offer outstanding comfort, refinement and performance levels worthy of a Cadillac, but in a model that does not require a single drop of fuel!
The very first 100 % electric full-size SUV to be offered by the manufacturer, the Escalade iQ is sure to seduce you with remarkable levels of refinement, cutting-edge technologies, power and, of course, electric range. Once it is commercialized by Cadillac Canada, the Escalade iQ will be joining the Lyriq SUV and the future Cadillac Celestiq sedan as early as by 2024 end of year, while awaiting the arrival of even more 100 % electric vehicles in Cadillac dealerships.
A truly stunning silhouette
Quite similar to the existing Escalade models, the electric trim’s silhouette boasts 24- inch wheels that are mounted with 35- inch tires. You will also quickly notice the animated LED headlights and their wing-like design, along with other front vertical lights that resemble the ones on the Cadillac Lyriq. As an option, you might enjoy the automatic open and power close driver’s door, along with the fix sunroof, among other things.
A breathtaking interior
In true Cadillac fashion, with the iQ Escalade model, you will have a spacious and refined interior where technology takes center stage. In fact, you will quickly notice the 55- inch diagonal curved screen that covers the full length of the dashboard, without forgetting the screens for rear passengers.
Exceptional Performance
The Cadillac Escalade iQ will be equipped with a powertrain with 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft. maximum torque, on top of offering an electric range that is estimated at 724 kilometers by the manufacturer. Moreover, you can recover up to 160 kilometers in just 10 minutes and reach a complete charge in just about 12 hours when charging on a 240V (level 2) charging station.
